The crepe fabric on the robe has a lovely drape that photographs beautifully for those first newborn pictures without looking like you just rolled out of bed.
The polka dot print on the robe is classic and timeless enough that this did not feel like a single season piece. I passed it along to my sister after my postpartum period and it still looked fresh and unworn.
The robe belt is substantial enough to stay tied through actual activity rather than just draping open the moment you move, which was a frustration I had with every other robe I tried postpartum.
I wore the nightgown solo on warmer nights and layered the robe over it on cooler ones, and both combinations worked perfectly. The versatility of having those separate pieces really extends how long and how often you reach for this set.
