I wore this every single day for the first three weeks postpartum and it washed beautifully every time. The robe ties stay knotted without slipping, which sounds like a small thing until you are holding a baby and cannot spare a hand to retie anything.
Wore this throughout the first month postpartum and it became a genuine comfort item for me. Something about having a set that actually matches and fits properly made me feel more like myself during a time when that can be really hard to hold onto.
Brought this into the delivery suite and wore it the morning after my daughter was born. The midwives all commented on how lovely it looked, and more importantly it made skin to skin and early feeding so much easier than a hospital gown ever would have. The patterned robe coordinates with the plain nightgown in a way that feels intentional and stylish rather than like a hospital set. The wrap front on the nightgown accommodated my bump right up until delivery and then transitioned seamlessly into a nursing style once my baby arrived. That kind of versatility across such a big physical change is exactly what you need and so hard to find.
This set layers so well. The nightgown on its own is lightweight enough for warm hospital rooms and the robe adds just the right amount of warmth when the air conditioning kicks in without making you overheat. Thought that balance out more than I expected to.
Nice quality set overall and the robe pattern is really elegant. The nightgown is comfortable against freshly postpartum skin which I was specifically worried about. Dropping one star only because I found the tie loops on the robe could be a little more securely sewn, but nothing that affected day to day use.
I sized up as recommended and it was the right call. The extra room made feeding straightforward without the nightgown looking oversized or shapeless, and the robe gave everything a put together look that my visitors appreciated and I needed for my own morale during recovery.
The nightgown fits true to size and the feeding panels are discreet enough that I felt comfortable answering the door in it. My only note is that the robe runs slightly generous, but honestly for postpartum that is not really a complaint.
